There is no discernible difference between the stars and commons, with the Tier One HOFers and stars conforming to the broader condition range, with a couple of exceptions noted below. A total of seven cards have been third-party slabbed and graded: No. 179 Foster – SGC 70, 240 Rose – SGC 60, 330 Ryan – SGC 84, 341 Gehrig All-Time Greats – SGC 88, 345 Ruth All-Time Greats – SGC 82, 346 Cobb All-Time Greats – SGC 92 and 400 Carew – SGC 92. The set boasts centering that is fairly typical for the era, with perhaps 100 or so cards eligible for an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to dictate a formal off-center designation. Five of the cards from the All-Time Greats subset – Cobb, Wagner, Cochrane, Johnson and Grove – would likely warrant an off-center qualifier. Overall, it is a remarkably consistent and uniform complete set, Near-Mint as noted below, with some cards reaching Near-Mint to Mint and a handful falling below to Ex-Mt or Excellent, including No. 95 Brooks Robinson (Ex-Mt) and No. 650 Munson (Ex-Mt).
