Provided here is in intriguing pairing of vintage and modern football card royalty, high-grade versions all from both the tricky 3D 1970 Kellogg’s issue and the 1994 and 1995 Upper Deck SP Football sets. The condition-sensitive Kellogg’s issues are tough to find in this grade because of the dreaded cracking from the 3D coating, and this Near-Mint or better example betrays virtually none of that. The 2 ¼-by-3 ½-inch cards represent the first such effort by the cereal company to feature football players, complementing the baseball series that launched the same year. Fast forward a quarter century to the mid-1990’s and Upper Deck was having a dramatic effect on both the baseball and football card arenas, in this instance producing the premium SP Series of cards with major glitz factor. The two (2) SP sets of 400 cards each are in Near-Mint or Near-Mint to Mint or better condition, with super colors and gloss and a startling, uniform presentation.
