This 500-count vending box is from the 5th Series of 1970 Topps Baseball, which holds card Nos. 460-546. With 87 cards in the series, you expect 5-6 of each card on average. This includes plenty of HOFer All-Star subset cards, like Carl Yastrzemski, Hank Aaron, Frank Robinson, Johnny Bench and Juan Marichal, along with singles of Willie Stargell, Hank Aaron, Rollie Fingers, Tony Oliva, Bob Gibson, Joe Morgan and Larry Bowa RC. This one is going to be tough for the winning bidder to keep closed, but then again, the original owner hasn’t been temped in 54 years. The box has been authenticated and shrink-wrapped by Steve Hart of Baseball Card Exchange, who noted that this box originated from Larry Fritsch Cards.
