Presented is an outstanding example of the rare three-card display pieces that were a popular insert for candy store owners in incentivizing them to purchase Topps products. Offered through much of the 1960s, the three-card panels are often referred to in the hobby as “salesmen samples,” and typically featured advertising on the backs for Topps or were blank backed. The 7 ½-by-3 ½-inch panel features card fronts identical to the 1965 Topps Baseball issue, with a lineup of Pedro Ramos, Billy McCool and John Romano; the back touts the regular-issue Topps Baseball set, including a highlighted image of the quaint 1965 Embossed inserts. The panel presents nicely in a solid VG-Ex condition.
