This is an attractive pair of cards from the difficult 1931 Metropolitan Studios St. Louis Cardinals Set, an issue of sepia-toned images of the ball club printed on a heavy paper stock. The unnumbered 6 ¼-by-9 ½-inch cards depicted 30 players, with most including the Metropolitan Studios copyright logo on the front; the backs are blank. Both of the cards here present nicely, with the Derringer probably Very Good and the Wilson seemingly Good but technically Fair because of paper dings at three edges.
