Here’s an outstanding example of a popular team-issued Picture Pack of the Chicago Cubs in the middle of the “War Years” from 1942-45, an array headlined by the inclusion of legendary Hall of Famer Jimmie Foxx. The 6-by-8 ½-inch photos are blank backed and printed on a delicate paper stock and yet found here in seeming Ex-Mt or better presentation, nudged only by 11 of the 25 that reveal a tiny pinhole at the top, typically in the border. Also included in the lot is the original envelope used at point-of-purchase at Wrigley Field or, in this instance, for mailing (behold the canceled Three-Cent Stamp). In the list below, players with an asterisk have the pinhole qualifier. The breakdown (25): Becker, Burrows, Cavaretta, Dallessandro*, Derringer*, Easterwood, Erickson*, Fleming, Foxx, Goodman*, Hanyzewski, Holm*, Johnson*, Mann, Merullo*, Nicholson, Niklos, Novikoff, Pafko*, Sauer*, Schuster*, Stanky, Vandenberg*, Wyse* and York.
