Presented is an attractive example of a 19th century baseball team in an elaborate studio portraiture providing a wonderful glimpse of uniforms and equipment of the era, including an imposing top hat on what is presumably the team manager or owner. The massive 16-by-20-inch sepia-toned photograph is affixed to a heavy board as was customary of the genre; the image size is roughly 11-by-14 ½ inches. The photograph is broadly in Fair condition, with a major tear at the top and some smaller tears and staining, most of which appears outside the image area.
