Presented is a childhood collection of baseball cards from primarily Topps and Post Cereal, cards in lesser grades in the earliest years but as is not uncommon in such arrays there is improvement over time, concluding with a nice assortment of 1962 Topps that reach Excellent to Near-Mint status. There is also a strong sampling of Post Cereal and Jello cards boasting a better-than-normal cutting effort and a couple of dozen cards from the 1960 Fleer Baseball Greats issue and the 1961 Nu-Card Scoops. Here's the breakdown: 1) 1952-54 Topps (25) – mostly Fair with some above and below the range, including 1954 Manush and Bauer; 2) 1954 Bowman (52) – mostly Fair, with Wilhelm, Erskine, Thompson, Antonelli, Vernon, Carrasquel, Meyer, Marshall, Trucks and Lopata; 3) 1955 Bowman (68) – mostly Fair, with Feller, Kiner, Hodges, Slaughter, Kell, Rizzuto, Lopez, Boudreau, Thompson, Kuenn, Erskine, Maglie, Gilliam, Garcia, Waitkus, Hoak, Lollar, Simmons, Meyer and Cavaretta; 4) 1956 Topps (46) – mostly Fair, with about a dozen or so Excellent-Plus, with Spooner, Hegan, Hatton, Carey, King, Grim, House, Haddix, Wilson, Jablonski and the lower grades including Zimmer, Rhodes, Sauer, Boyer, Rosen and Skowron, plus Nats and Indians Team cards; 5) 1957 Topps (40) – Fair to Very Good, with the emphasis to Good, including Wilhelm, Colavito Rookie, Erskine, Maglie, Ennis, Neal, Jackson, Jensen, Burdette and Buhl, plus Cubs and Cardinals Team cards; 6) 1958 Topps (125) – Good to Very Good, with some below, including Killebrew, Mathews (2), Doby (2), Minoso, Fox, Aparicio, Bunning, Rival Fence Busters (Fair), Boss & Power (Fair), All-Star Managers (Fair), Furillo, Power, Bauer, Thomson, Kuenn (2), Maxwell and six Team cards; 7) 1962 Topps (185) – Excellent to Ex-Mt, with some below and a few Near-Mint, including Ford, Marichal, Cepeda, Minoso, Snider, Mathews, Fox, Ashburn, Hodges, Kaat, Stengel and Alston, plus five League Leaders, six Teams, five All-Stars and two Combination cards; 8) 1960 Fleer Greats (25) – Good to Very Good, including Grove, Mack, Gehringer, Mize, Terry, Lajoie, Anson, Bottomley (2), Hubbell, Ott, Kiner and McGraw; 9) 1961 Nu-Card Scoops (17) – Excellent to Ex-Plus; 10) 1961 Post Cereal (46) – mostly Very Good to Excellent, with some below, including Mathews, Hodges, Drysdale, Wilhelm, Snider and Schoendienst; 11) 1962 Post Cereal, Excellent to Ex-Mt, with some below, including Mays, Berra, Ashburn, Minoso, Yastrzemski and Gilliam; 12) 1962 Jello (21) – Excellent to Ex-Mt, with some below, including Torre (Fair), Tommy Davis, Willie Davis, Lollar, Pierce, Brosnan, Sanford, Burdette and Adcock (2); and 13) 1963 Jello (10) – same condition as above, including Yastrzemski, Santo (2), Aparicio, Jay, Friend and Cardenas.
